Starting September 30, 2025, the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem and the Embassy Branch Office in Tel Aviv will transition to a new document delivery service provider for U.S. citizens requesting delivery of U.S. passports or Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA).
Here’s what you need to know:
📦 Customers with Documents Already in Transit
If you were contacted by courier vendors Zig Zag or Aramex notifying you that your document is in transit, your delivery will be completed within five (5) business days.
📍 Customers Who Selected Pickup Locations
If you chose Standard (Pickup) delivery and were already notified that your document is ready, you must collect it by Sunday, September 28, 2025.
After this date, all uncollected documents will be returned to the U.S. Embassy. You will then receive new instructions directly from the Embassy.
💳 Refund Procedure for Pre-Paid Premium Delivery
If you paid for Premium Delivery Service online via vfs.gtspremium.com and the service was not provided, you will be automatically refunded within 10 business days by the courier vendor.
If you wish to expedite your refund or if you do not receive it after 10 business days, email doc-delivery_US_ISR@vfsglobal.com with the following:
Full name of the cardholder
Copy of the payment receipt (including payment date)
Last four digits of the card used for payment
