Same Day Passport: How can you get one?
Did you know that you can get a passport on the same day as your appointment?
You go, you renew, and ask them for a one-year passport which is issued the same day.
When you initially come for the initial appointment and pay for the passport, save the receipt. You will need it later to collect your passport.
If you are an adult, you need to bring:
▪︎Ds82 form, filled out: https://pptform.state.gov/?Submit2=Complete+Online+%26+Print
▪︎Passport photos (3)
▪Old Passport and 3 photocopies of it
▪︎Foreign passport and 3 photocopies of it
▪︎ US Birth certificate
▪︎ Drivers license
▪︎ payment by cash or CC 135$ (checks no longer accepted)
If you are a child, you need to bring:
▪︎DS 11 form, filled out: https://pptform.state.gov/?Submit2=Complete+Online+%26+Print
▪︎ 2 parents, or one parent and a notary form
▪︎Passport photos (3)
▪Old Passport and 3 photocopies of it
▪︎Foreign passport and 3 photocopies of it
▪︎ US Birth certificate
▪︎ Drivers license
▪︎ payment by cash or CC 165$ (checks no longer accepted)
For CRBA, add the DS29 form.
*you can’t apply for an SSN if you are applying for an emergency passport.
First adult passport or a passport renewal after 15 Years:

Remember, you will renew via dropbox when you get back. And, you don’t pay twice. Simply redo your passport photos, and send them with all the copies of your documents and a new form in a manila envelope, self-addressed. Drop this off at the Jerusalem embassy during business hours.
They take your documents and you come back between 2-3 pm to come and get your passport. You can’t stay in the waiting room while you wait. You can wait in the courtyard, but without a phone.
Then, after one year, or whenever you want, you go and renew it by drop box in the Jerusalem embassy or in the States in a passport office. that has a 10-year deadline at no extra cost. and you don't have to pay again at all.
